Ok let's try this again. I was soooo freakin' annoyed about what happened yesterday that I ended up working on other things. So without further adue...

Thurs. I slept as late as I possibly could, which really wasn't all that much unfortunately, for those of you that don't know - I'm not much of a sleeper. Bed by 2am and up between 5:30am / 7am. Yeah insane I know but that's just how I am. Anyways managed to stay in bed till 10am (on and off sleeping since 6am) got some little things packed up for our trip and headed off to work till 11:30pm / midnight. Got home, changed clothes, did makeup and hair and all that happy happy whoha then got picked up at 4:30am to get driven to the airport in Manchester, NH. Got dropped off and then the fun starts. Since we had never dealt with airports before, we were a bit on the ummmm DERRrrr side of things and because of that we accidently checked in one of my bags. The lady took my bag and we were thinking that she was going to put a ticket on it or something and give it back, heck we had no clue what was happening. Next thing I know my bag goes flying past her onto a convayer and disappears behind a black curtian.

She then reaches for my other bag and I ended up going, "Oh hell no!" cause my freakin laptop was in it and I sure as hell would have flipped out if I saw anyone just fling it like she did with my other bag. We were able to keep our other bags, hubby had his and I HAD 2 but was carrying on 1. Got our boarding passes and proceeded over to the security area. Heh, fun.

Again we had no clue but I watched the other people intently to get an idea of what we needed to do. Piece of cake! No probs there. Phewww.

Now it was time to head off to the gate and ummm yeah my heart was just a racing and my anxiety level shot through the roof, especially when I saw the plane.

Unfortunately I can't say that my first flight was a pleasant one. Why? Well I sat down next to this old man who looked at me and asked me if it was my first time on a plane and I smiled and nodded yes. Well apparently this amused him enough to torment me...the...whole...plane...ride. Making uncalled for comments like telling me he thought he saw something fall off the wing of the plane and laughing at me as I'm practically breaking my hubby's hand. And yeah, it actually got worse. The old guy's granddaughter who was, I'd say, no more then 12 or 13 years old also decided that it was amusing and she starting in with uncalled for comments and to top it off kicked the back of my seat the entire way.

Thank heavens they weren't on the flight from Baltimore to Pittsburgh. I think I would have strangled them. We kept our cool though and tried keeping in mind the reason for the trip and did our best not to kill those jerks. Lord knows we didn't want to start anything on a plane. You know how that goes now a days.

The flight from Baltimore to Pitts was more tolerable. No jerks, anxiety wasn't quite so bad and hubby didn't really have to worry whether or not he was going to need a brace for his hand or not. When we were waiting for the plane to leave the gate, I noticed a bag man loading up the plane with luggage and I saw my bag and watched him. To my horror, I saw him wing that sucker and I'm sitting there going "Hey! That's my bag asshole! Don't do that!" Hubby laughed at me and said the guy can't hear me.

I was worried about stuff getting broken. I had all my hair stuff and sprays and what not that could have easily got broken and I worried that it would break and get all over the things in the bag. I had a gift for Holly (a stuffed Stitch) and for Jim (a Jack Skellington tshirt) that I didn't want to see get ruined. Gosh that really burnt my biscuts seeing that.

Finally landed at Pittsburgh airport and to my surprise there was a trian thingy inside of it. Hubby laughed his ass off at me cause I looked at him and said "What stop do we get off at?" He laughed and said "Hunny it's not like the T back home." Ooooooohhhh. LOL

Jumped on that and ran over to baggage claim, found my bag and ran over to met our driver then headed off to the hotel. I have a little video of our ride, which I'll get up as soon as I can, and I'm sure you'll get a laugh cause I happened to noticed we were going onto a bridge and I hate bridges! *shutters*

Finally reached the hotel, checked in, ran to our room, dropped off our luggage, grabbed the gifts and ran back downstairs to pick up my badge and hubby's 3 day passes. What that in itself was funny as hell. I'm standing there and I hear "Keep an eye out for this Amy Fisher." to which I turned around and the lady said "Amy Fisher?" and I said "Fletcher" (Why do people confuse that?) She said "Yes, Amy Fletcher!" and gave me my badge. We got hubby his bracelets and then we were lead to the Broadsword booth to meet Holly and Jim! Squeeee!

Holly saw me before I saw her cause there was this liiiiiiiine at their booth that went all the way around the side and I heard "AMY!!" and I turned and bam there was my Holly girl! I managed to get passed the people to give her a big huge hug and yes Spazzy I remembered to hug her again and say it was from you! hehehe Then hugged Jim and gave them both their gifts then I got the inspection to the tattoo, which they really liked. Woohooo!! I love my tattoo! And no it's not my first one, can't remember who thought it was my first but no it is not.

Holly showed me the ropes, which boy howdy don't have her explain the litho prices. You'll feel like your trying to remember a quantium physics equation!! LOL yeah I got a bit lost on that one. Not to mention I was also quite nervous as it is.

Kim from Serendipity Art Sales scared the crap out of me when she came running over to say her hi's and give me tons of hugs! hehehe I love hugs! I talked with her for a bit and promised that I would come over to their booth when I had a moment. Ed Coutts walked by and waved to which I smiled and waved back and apparently from what I understand he got a wicked kick out of me remembering him from the Boston Comic Con back on March 16th. LOL I promised him that I would stop by his booth too.

I worked the booth for a bit, talked with the broadsword fans, who were totally awesome people and noticed Acid PopTart was not that far away so I scurried over to say my hi's like I promised her I would do when she found out that I was going to be there. We hit it off right off the bat! That girl rocked! She's freakin' awesome! And I miss her already. She was my hell raising partner for the weekend!

I worked the Broadsword booth some more, signed some 47's and I was completely caught off gaurd by one of the fans. He asked me to do a sketch for him in his sketchbook. It floored me. I mean seriously deer...in...headlights. I was in the mindset that I was going to be there entirely for Broadsword. My artwork never even entered my mind. The way that I was thinking it was, this is the Broadsword booth and this is all for the Broadsword Company. Not my table so not my place to discuss my artwork, you know what I mean?

So I figured it was a fluke thing and doodled a quick sketch, which let me tell ya was a weird feeling since Jim was on one side of me sketching away and Holly was on the other side of me sketching away and here I am in the middle....sketching away. Totally weird. I gave back the guy his sketchbook with the doodle I just did and apparently he was really impressed by it. So much so the 2 more guys asked me to sketch in theirs. More weirdness. I looked at Holly and said "How the heck did this happen?" I loved her answer....

"It's a con. That's what happens."

So that was entirely unexpected but kinda cool at the same time. Kinda made me feel weird about it since my artwork has nothing to do with Broadsword and here I am standing and working the Broadsword booth. Eep.

Hubby kept pumping the coffee to me, since I still had not slept yet. We figured out that if I had stayed up one more hour I would have been up for 36 hours straight. Yeaaaaahhh I was quite the tired little kitten Friday. Passed out around 9pm.

Saturday, got up and dawned the Broadsword outfit (with skirt as you can see) and headed down to the con. Started my day off with a really strange creepy guy! LOL He walked up to me as I'm walking to the booth and sniffs me and says "You smell goooooood." and then walks away.

Everyone was sniffing me! LOL I have cotton candy body spray. And as Holly put it ....

"It smells like Happy!"

Worked more, meet more people, chatted more, laughed, goofed off, googled over all the costumes walking by, got sniffed more and just down right had a freakin' blast. It was quite a trip watching Jim draw. If I didn't have to work the booth I would have so watched him intently. But it was fun talking with everyone that was at the booth waiting in line.

I did get to walk around a bit and absolutely feel right in love with this one booth that just had the cutest things!! I bought a stuffed black jewel eye kitty and a black kitty head coin purse and even bought Holly the same thing! As I made my way back to the Broadsword both, I stopped and said my hi's to Kim and Bob at Serendipity Art Sales and Kim asked me if I would sketch something for her in her sketchbook. Her book was full of gothic fairy sketches and I was thrilled with it! So I sketched something quick for her. And even managed to swing over to Ed's table to grab a pic with him and say my hi's before running back to the Broadsword booth.

I tried to see as much as I could but I didn't want to be gone for too long for Holly and Jim. There was sooooo much gorgeous artwork to see! And I don't think I even saw all of it. But what I did see was freakin' ssssshweet! I fall right in love hard with artwork. 2nd quickest way to catch my attention. First quickest is if you're drawing around me, I tend to zone right into whatever you're drawing. I'm telling you, it's in my blood! LOL

I gave Holly her kitties and went back to working, chatting, laughing, goofing, hugging, and more pictures being taken. LOTS OF CAMERAS! And that's not counting the numberous times I was stopped while walking around to have my picture taken. My eyes are STILL trying to recover from all the flashes! Little white dots everywhere! It's a wonder I could walk straight, let alone see where I was going. (David Prowse has the brightest flash ever!)

Sunday I had decided to wear the infamous outfit you see in the Sillyness with Holly G!'s School Bites album and the Hello video on both Jim and Holly's pages. That's my "Dripping with Cuteness" outfit!

When I got in in the morning to the booth, Holly was over talking with David Prowse (Darth Vader) and Jim sent me over to her so she could get her picture taken with him. We talked for a bit and I took Holly camera (I didn't have mine cause hubby was running around with it taking pics) and took their picture together and then David asked me to use his camera so he could have one too. That was cool. Before Holly and I left he wanted a picture of Holly and I. Awesome! Then he showed us pictures of his booboo on his leg, which I had to laugh at Holly cause she went ewwwww and couldn't look. Silly girl.

It was gross. He had something removed in his leg and he was showing us pics of it after whatever it was was taken out. You could actually see his bone! Ick! But the next few shots were of his booboo healing and then Holly was able to look at those.

I went back to work at the booth and did the usual. Chatting, laughing, goofing off, getting sniffed and having a grand ol' time! Then Holly came over to the booth with what I called "A Bag of Cuteness!" and she bought me a cute stuffed seal cell phone holder and a kitty paw screen cleaner that fits on your finger at that booth I fell in love with. The kitty paw is cutest thing that one of the Broadsword fans had in line and we asked about it when we saw it. Then Holly showed me her PINK stuffed jewel eye kitty and I was like "Awww I want a cute PINK kitty to go with my black kitty. I didn't see a pink one?" She told me she bought the last one. Poo.

I ventured out of the booth again, more pictures where taken and made my way back to the "Cuteness Booth" and bought more goodies! LOL Don't ask me how much I spent at that one booth but let's just say they reeeeeeeaaaaaally liked me! hehehe I had mentioned to the guy that Holly got the last PINK kitty and he said to me "I had a feeling you would like that one too." and goes under the table and pulls out a bag and then pulls out a PINK KITTY!!! Oh yeah totally bought that! hehehe

I then headed over to another booth that Holly had mentioned had corsets. I didn't even know there was a booth that had corsets till Holly mentioned it. Took a bit of searching but I did end up finding it and got chatting it up with the lady running the booth. We talked about how tiny my waist is and all that and I even tried one on and just fell in love with the fact that it actually fit me! So I'm commissioning her for one to be made for me! SQUEEE! I didn't really care for the colors that were left so she's going to send me pics of fabric she has with the colors that I told her that I liked....Red, Black, or Pink. She's going to see what she has.

I grabbed a nice print for hubby from Bob and Kim at Serendipity Art Sales of Green Arrow and Black Canary that Billy Tucci did, which they were super nice and gave me a deal and then I scurried over to Billy's table to have him sign it for me before running back to the booth. Hehehe He was eating a cheeseburger when I showed up, so I waited patiently for him to eat. I don't like bothering people when they are eating. I told him "Oh no no hunni, finish your food. It's ok, I can wait." He laughed and thought I was sweet. LOL Maybe he could smell my cotton candy!

I showed Acid PopTart all the cuteness and snuck off back to the cuteness booth! LOL She didn't have any cash on her so I bought her a black jewel eye stuffed kitty and the black kitty head coin purse. She loves them and gave me big hugs. I love seeing people happy and she was so happy with them that it made me happy. She said she'd pay me back and I said "Oh don't be silly, they're gifts for you." hehehe Silly girl. I told her that I will also draw up her character, VooDoo Baby. < ---- Upcoming Artwork Alert!

Had to run back to our room at one point to change my shoes cause my boots were killing my feet! Then back to the booth to be with Holly and Jim.

Unfortunately all good things had to come to an end and before we all knew it, it was time to shut down and say byes. Lots of big hugs, more pictures and last minute sniffs. Amy Lynn Best, who had popped over throughout the weekend and is such a kick ass lady, stopped by the booth and gave me one of her tshirts which I love.

Before we knew it it was 5am Monday morning and it was time to meet our driver out front of the hotel to start the drive back to the airport. I decided to leave Holly and Jim a nice letter at the desk to thank them for having us and that it was so awesome being with them. I actually got a little bit choked up leaving that.

As soon as I gave the instructions to the front desk lady and walked back over to the doors, the driver had arrived. We got in and started the track back to the airport. As we went past the hotel, I know it sounds corney, but I waved and said "Wuvs you!" and threw a kiss.

The airport was packed when we arrived. We remembered not to check in my bag, grabbed our boarding passes and headed over to security which had the most insane line I had ever seen! It was so bad that the airport guy redirected half of us to a different area for security checks. Eesh.

Got threw that and headed to the gates. We had a bit of time so I hit up a little shop near the gate and got myself a pink pittsburgh tshirt and a magnet, that's now on our frig.

The flights back weren't so bad, I had definately got more relaxed with it all at that point. I was a bit nervous earlier cause we got woken up at the hotel around midnight to a thunderstorm and I instantly started thinging we were going to be flighting in that, but luckily it was only drizzling out when we left. Had to deal with a screaming baby though. Poor lady.

When our final plane landed back at Manchester, NH we got picked up and driven back to home. I texted Holly to let her know that we got back safe and sound so they wouldn't worry.

Got back home, dropped off our luggage and jumped into my car for the drive up to Maine to pick up my kiddo then drive all the way back home. Sorry for those of you that were expecting to see me for a visit up in Maine but I was exhausted to high heavens.

So that's pretty much the jist of it folks. Lots of fun times, a bit of a sad moment but all in all I had an awesome time at the con! And if I forgot anything let me know and I'll fix this. I think I did pretty darn good remembering 90% of it.

Oh yeah! And Brian H, you soooooo disappointed us but cancelling.

Next post will be the Pittsburgh Comic Con Pics!!!

Now to finish up updating things and head on over to the art desk! Back to work for SIN!
